We understand that culture will be determined for us

if we do not create and support a culture worth having.

LOYALTY 

A company is more than a place to work, it is a place created by people. People forge a team when they come together for common goals and common success, learning to collaboratively assist. We think of it in terms of sports, and how the best of each player goes to the greater good of the team itself. Loyalty is formed through the team, but it goes both ways, with the employee and employer earning each other’s loyalty together.

 

COMPETITIVE SPIRIT

We want and crave competition, because the competitive spirit is how we put forth the best in ourselves, and continually strive to do better.

 

ENTHUSIASM AND INSPIRATION

We want to give our employees the tools they need to engage in their enthusiasm for their talents as much as we do and continue to inspire.

 

SUPPORT 

Our environment is one of an emphasis on support - and support is not merely a top down initiative, but a concept extending in lateral directions. In giving support to be better,  we become better.

 

BALANCE

Our origin story is a company formed out of partnership. The team leaders do not always align in viewpoint, and over time it was recognized that they did not need to align -- but they needed to be balanced. By allowing differing viewpoints into the process, they tempered their strongest traits and gained new insights into problem solving.

 

SMART RISK

Risk is scary, risk means we have made an investment and we have something to lose. Risk for its own sake does not benefit. Instead, we want to encourage smart risk that comes backed with sound data analysis, to use the information around us to inform ourselves to make our best decisions possible.

 

Every day we make risks on behalf of our business, such as deciding when to move our operations to a bigger warehouse. In doing so we came to a standstill, not sure how much risk to take on. By using data on our products, we were able to calculate space and future projections, giving us a clearer picture on how much risk we could engage in.

 

FEEDBACK

We encourage our team members to speak to one another with purpose and forthrightness to get to the root cause of issues and to offer insights to one another in a structured and supportive way.


 

CREATING SUCCESS

What does it mean to be the creator of your own success? To achieve goals means more than staying on task for the small things. We want to encourage a mindset of motivation and reward self-starters who can understand that success does not arrive by standing still, but by creating solutions and implementing them and actively seeking to learn your field. The creator of success will know how to step in and assist without having to be asked first.

Platinum Supplies is a multicultural and diverse dream team of interesting, intense, and talented individuals. By engaging with a wide variety of colleagues, we take the best of available talent and perspectives to create better procedures and processes. Hard work is valued and leads to the creation of a collaborative, transparent, highly efficient and productive team. Our unique team prevents our work place from being stagnant, boring, unproductive, and inefficient, allowing individual talents to flourish.

 

TRANSPARENCY

We believe that we have the ability to give each employee better tools to grow their career, by demonstrating our actions to our team and how we are achieving goals. We communicate across several channels and these communications are available for others to see and notice, providing the tools to understand how each and every department works and how others act in their roles. We further emphasize our transparent communications by sharing the interior details of our company within the office, even our profits and losses for the month.

 

We believe that greater transparency will aid in innovation, and is worth the risk of being vulnerable for others to see and observe us in action.

 

CULTURE EVOLVES

Culture is a crucial element of a company, an element that lives and breathes and continues to evolve. At Platinum Supplies we understood that our culture would be chosen for us if we did not take steps to establish one of our own, and we knew at the outset that we should always be looking forward to improving ourselves. This means we will change, and often change our minds when we discover a better way forward, embracing change as a benefit.
